Peter and I moved to Westfield road in July 1993
Throughout the years we have shared many family celebrations, Sheila being well known to our extended family.
Sheila's interests included gardening, preservation of the environment and her life-long love of dogs.
Ask Sheila about any plant? she would know its species and name. Sheila grew many plants from seed and bulbs which we were blessed to receive as gifts at Christmas and birthdays. Amaryllis was a favourite. I recall when she was the proud winner of Barnet Home Gardens. The local newspaper took a photograph with an article which was published.
A member of the Mill Hill preservstion society, she was passionate in regard to preserving land, nature and habitats. I recall her proudly protesting against the development of houses in Hankins Lane. Sheila was there, placard in hand! It created a bit of a storm at the time!
A fiesty lady, she did not allow being mugged in Millway about 5 years ago to stop her weekly trip to Mill Hill to get her shopping. Sheila had great courage, resolve and inner strength !
Sheila loved dogs; she had an extensive knowledge about breeds and how to care for specific needs, she fostered dogs with ailments and special needs. Often we sought her advice and support with our dogs.
Throughout the years we have shared the trials and tribulations life throws at us. Visiting one another for a chat over a cuppa. Sheila loved her music, particularly Enya and James Taylor.
I lost a dear friend about twelve years ago; I was very upset! Sheila was very kind to me and gave me a gift of a “Pick me up Bear” I have kept it and will treasure it.
Dearest Sheila you are missed! We will never forget you!!
You have left us with so many memories!! Funny and Happy!!
Thank you for your friendship and kindness!
Eternal Rest and peace Sheila.
Sincerely with Love.
