With fond memories of Sheila and her garden

Created by Jo 2 years ago

With a beautiful garden in Westfield Road,
Lived Sheila Meeks in her warm and cosy abode,
An amazing, lovely lady that I was fortunate to know,
Her flowers I helped to tend and the grass I would mow.

Walking around it with Sheila, whilst she proudly showed me,
Each different flower, shrub, plant and tree,
Her knowledge of horticulture was second to none,
She would point to each plant explaining what should be done.

Sheila loved the wildlife her garden would bring,
Particularly the birds she would feed, and joyfully hear sing,
She bought plants for the bees that she loved to see,
She knew the names of all the flowers and enjoyed teaching me.

I would shape the bushes and fill the pond for the frog,
Whilst Sheila would laugh and chat and watch on with her dog.

With her sense of humour, determination and sharp mind,
Sheila was caring, funny and very much one of a kind.

I hope where she rests is a place of beauty, peace and tranquil,
I often remember her very fondly and always will.

love and best wishes to you Sheila,
